Netflix has fired a call center worker for stealing credit card numbers from customers of the online movie service.

The unnamed employee was fired after Netflix learned about the data theft on April 4, the company said in a letter to the office of the New Hampshire Attorney General that was published online this week

Malaysian man charged with hacking into bank systems – SC Magazine US

A Malaysian man was indicted Thursday on charges he hacked into the networks of a number of financial institutions, including the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, and amassed some 400,000 stolen credit and debit card numbers, according to federal prosecutors.

Lost hard drive puts data on 280,000 Medicaid enrollees at risk – FierceHealthIT

The names, addresses and some health information of 280,000 Medicaid enrollees in Pennsylvania could be at risk after two affiliated managed care organizations reported the loss of a hard drive from a portable computer.The hard drive went missing in the corporate offices of either Philadelphia-based Keystone Mercy Health Plan or Harrisburg-based AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The two companies cover a total of 400,000 Medicaid patients in the state.
