AHA: Hospitals Facing HIPAA ‘Burnout’

The American Hospital Association (AHA) told the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics’ subcommittee on standards and security that the complex requirements of HIPAA have been exhausting hospitals and may be causing some health systems to fall behind on implementing the act’s security rule provisions.
